An Airy Loft With a Newsworthy Past

BROOKLYN LOFT APARTMENT

Located in what was previously a printing house for New York’s Daily News, this loft apartment melds historical charm with a tranquil, outside-in feel. Exposed pipes, sprinklers and ceiling beams, along with an original spiral staircase, speak to the space’s former life. The living room features custom mirrors that mimic and reflect the room’s vast windows, highlighting the expansive Brooklyn views. The deep green and rich walnut kitchen palette is inspired by these views--the neighborhood is accented with parks and rooftop gardens. Pared-down furnishings are edited (but also welcoming) so the blending of old and new, and the blurring of outside and inside, can shine.
